It's been a while since my last blog. Sorry guys but I've had writer's block so to speak even though I'm not a writer.
I'm going to be real original here by telling you what I'm thankful for this year. I thankful for my family, friends and everything that God has done for Brian & I especially these last 2 years. He has brought us a long, long way. I am also thankful for my home, hot water, a bed to sleep in and all the things we take for granted.
I challenge everyone this holiday season to try to help someone in need in any way possible. We all have alot to be thankful for so let's make someone else feel the same way. Oh, I have one more challenge, stop and take a minute to reflect on what you are thankful for. If it's a family member and/or friend let them know.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to ya'll.

The ride is over....
Well, for a few months anyway. We're just in from our Duke trip & we got another good report. Thank you Lord, you are good.
We met a man while in the waiting room there that has a inoperable brain tumor. He was doing well but I can only imagine what he & his family must be going through. The tumor shrank while on chemo/radiation but returned. They are managing it with meds right now. Let's pray for his healing. He was in great spirits & talked about how good God is. Hmm, see the connection? He and his family seemed to be nice people & did not let this get them down.
It also reminded me that our situation could be worse. It made me more thankful for Brian's healing.

Roller Coaster
I know I should have more faith than I do but it's hard especially when it's time for a Duke trip. My mind goes up and down like a roller coaster wondering about Brian's MRI results. He says that he is healed so why I can't I stand in that too?
So I'm going to concentrate on the good that we've experienced these last 2 years since his brain tumor diagnosis. Brian's had healing, he hasn't experienced nearly as many health issues as some do while undergoing chemo/radiation, and we've recieved blessing after blessing during these hard times. I could go on and on about the good that I've seen through this. Of course, you have to look for it because the devil will try to hide it from you.
Just remember, whatever kind of day you're having, hold on because God is in control of this roller coaster called life. Worry does not change anything.
I will not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.
--Matthew 6:34
If you are reading this and want to know more about Brian's story, let me know & I'll fill you in.
